Digital or
Film?
|
This
is the burning photography question today. These oftimes
heated conversations are generally centered on image quality,
printing options and convenience. Some photographers will
argue that film is dead, while others hold tenaciously
to their film, swearing they will never cross over into
the evil land of digital.

Personally,
I think there is a place for each of these mediums. And now that
image quality and output options are equal, either way you go you
will get a great photograph.
But the demand for digital is ever increasing, especially for commercial photography,
including headshot and fashion work.

There are two primary
reasons that people may choose to do a digital shoot. First,
images shot as digital files are convenient for websites, emailing,
and of course bringing in for printing. Although anything shot
on film can easily be converted to a digital file, shooting digitally
eliminates this intermediate step. The second reason, and no
doubt the greatest, is that clients enjoy being able to see the
images right away, no more waiting for processing and developing-
